In the meantime, here are four things you must know about Daana –
- Heritage Seeds
Each farmer’s grains/oils have a unique aroma, distinct taste and personality. This comes from the seeds that are preserved within that farm from harvest to harvest. Our organic farmers do not buy seeds from the market. They preserve them from their previous harvest. - Single Origin
Each pack of Daana grains and oils are from a single farm. You will develop a palate for the distinct flavours of our oils and grains as we don’t mix (or ‘blend’ as the industry calls it) different varities together. - Fair Trade
More than 70% of what you pay us for Daana directly goes to the farmer. We do not undercut them. When you buy Daana’s products, you are assured that farmers are given a fair deal.
You will notice many well-known organic brands selling products at even less than the prices of conventional products. Refuse buying such blood grains. - No Chemicals
It goes without saying that we hold our farmers up to the highest quality standards. They are all compliant with the international USDA standards for organic food. Apart from that, we are make constant visits to the farms and engage with our farmers.
